Born in Venezuela before moving to New York and now Miami, Rondón works across disciplines including painting, photography, installation, DJing, zines, modeling, and has recently written and illustrated her first children’s’ book, Why Does Mommy Have Tattoos? Working intuitively across diverse media, each of Rondón’s projects conveys a fierce self-awareness and unshakeable spirit. In her words:
“My main focus is to create work that lives on once my physical body and ‘soul’ are no longer attached to it… I've always painted women portraits, I'm not even sure why, it's just what my hands draw the second I'm standing in front of a new canvas.” [irlmag.com]
